Criminal Case Initiated on Shelling of Rostov Oblast from Ukrainian Territory

The IC of Russia has established new facts of shells hitting the Rostov Oblast territory as a result of incessant shelling from the territory of Ukraine.

According to the investigators, on February 21, 2022, at approximately 9:50 a. m., unidentified persons staying on the territory of Ukraine used unidentified artillery weapons to fire at the border territory of Neklinovsky District, Rostov Oblast. As a result, a shell hit an area near the village of Shcherbakovo, 150 meters from the State Border of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, destroying a service facility used by the Border Department of the FSB of Russia for Rostov Oblast.

Following the incident, the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation initiated a criminal case on a possible crime under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder in a generally dangerous way). Specialists of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation arrived at the crime scene to conduct urgent investigative actions.
