Chairman of the IC of Russia Instructs Subordinates to Identify and Investigate All Facts of Torture of Russian Servicemen by Ukrainian Military

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian military torture the captured Russian soldiers.

Commission of such actions is a serious violation of the international legal norms on the humane treatment of prisoners of war, in particular the provisions of the Geneva Convention of August 12, 1949 on the treatment of prisoners of war.

Chairman of the IC of Russia Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed the investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia to take exhaustive measures to document every fact of torture committed by the Ukrainian military and, within the framework of the initiated criminal cases, to thoroughly investigate all the circumstances, taking the necessary measures to identify the perpetrators.
