A Criminal Case Has Been Initiated Against a Ukrainian TV Presenter Who Called for the Massacre of Russians, Including Children

The Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia has initiated a criminal case against Fakhrudin Sharafmal, a Ukrainian TV presenter. His public statements contain signs of crimes under Paragraph b, Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Paragraphs a, c Part 2 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (actions aimed at inciting hatred or enmity, as well as at humiliating the dignity of a person or a group of persons on the basis of ethnicity / nationality; the rehabilitation of Nazism, the approval of crimes established by the verdict of the International Military Tribunal).

On March 15, 2022, Sharafmal, using his official position, on the air of the Ukrainian television channel “24 Kanal”, publicly called on Ukrainians to commit massacres of citizens of the Russian Federation, including children. In doing so, he based his calls upon the ideology of Nazi criminals, including Adolf Eichmann, whose image he displayed on the air. It is worth reminding that the International Military Tribunal established the role of Eichmann, who had headed the Gestapo department of the Imperial Security Office, in committing crimes in complicity with other Nazis, which resulted in the death of several million Jews.

The Investigative Committee of Russia establishes the circumstances of the crimes committed.
