The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the Central Office of the department to organize a procedural check on the desecration of the monument to Russian admiral Fyodor Ushakov in Greece, while requesting the necessary information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

According to the available information, on March 26, unidentified persons doused the monument on the Greek island of Corfu with red paint.

In accordance with the department head's orders, the investigators will give a legal evaluation to these actions.
