The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has instructed the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia to document and investigate the circumstances of the siege of Maternity Hospital No. 2 by Ukrainian militants in the city of Mariupol.

The Headquarters of the Territorial Defense of the DPR reported that Ukrainian militants besieged the Mariupol maternity hospital and do not allow the women to get water from the nearest well in the small house suburbs of the city. According to the Headquarters, there are about 100 people in Maternity Hospital No. 2, including 37 children and five newborns.  

A. I. Bastrykin instructed the MID of the IC of Russia to take measures to identify all the persons involved in the crime and to evaluate their illegal activities from a legal standpoint.
