The Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed the General Directorate to investigate the circumstances related to the explosion of the tanks with chemicals done by the Ukrainian security forces in Rubezhnoye city.

According to available information, the division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during their steps-bask has exploded the tanks with hazardous chemicals on the territory of the plant located in the Rubezhnoye city, Lugansk People's Republic. The plant tanks contained nitrogen, sulfur, hydrochloric acid and ammonia. Inhalation of these toxic substances can cause severe poisoning and toxic pulmonary edema in humans. Thus, the unlawful actions of the Ukrainian security forces on the undermining of the tanks created a real danger to the civilians not only for the Rubezhnoye city but to the nearby settlements as well.

As part of the investigation in collaboration with law-enforcement bodies of the LPR and other operational departments, the investigative committee of Russia will record the traces of unlawful actions, it will also establish which division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has operated in that specified area, it will reveal the particular persons responsible for organizing this crime, and it will give them a legal assessment.
