The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to arraign on a criminal charge the Commander of the Georgian Legion incorporated to the Ukrainian military against the rules of warfare.

The Chairman of the Investigative Commettee instructed the General Directorate of the IC of Russia to arraign on a criminal charge the Commander of the Georgian Legion incorporated to the Ukrainian military Mamulashvilli against the rules of warfare, in relation to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and to the personnel of Rosgvardia (the Federal National Guard Troops Service).

According to available information, the representatives of the Georgian legion incorporate to the Ukrainian military have committed the unlawful actions against the soldiers of the Russian Federation. Besides, Mamulashvilly has made the public announcement about his intensions in future to torture and kill the Russian military personnel and the representatives of the of the operational designation wing of the North Caucasus okrug of the Russian Federation Federal National Guard Troops.

These actions directly contradict the provisions of the Geneva Convention on August 12, 1949 on the treatment of prisoners of war. In this regard, A.I. Bastrykin instructed the investigators to substantiate the facts of the commitment of criminal acts and arraign on a criminal charge all accessorial persons.
