The main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation charge the former Deputy Minister for the Development of the Far East (hereinafter referred as Ministry for Development of Russian Far East) Alexander Krutikov and Former head of the Unit of the Ministry of Alexander Pavlov. On the motion of the investigation they were imposed pre-trial restraint as custody. The former director of Asia Forest LLC, Alexander Pudovkin, is also a person of a criminal investigation, he was detained earlier. He is charged of fraud (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and a similar pre-trial restraint is taken for him.

In accordance with investigation, Pudovkin submitted the counterfeit documents to the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East in 2016 and 2018 about timber-industrial infrastructural objects creation, done by his Company, but which were not done in reality, after that he received the state subsidies for reimbursement of costs in the amount of 840 million rubles.

At the same time, Krutikov and Pavlov approved the conclusion on the compliance for “Azia Les” LLC for the subsides receipt, without carrying out the appropriate inspection, thereby ensured the unreasonable budgetary funds transfer of to this Company, and these funds were stolen.

The investigation continues.
