A Criminal Case Has Been Initiated Over the Shelling of the City of Frunze in the Lugansk People’s Republic

The military investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation have initiated a criminal case against the servicemen of the military unit A1476 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the grounds of a crime under Part 1, Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare).

It has been established that on April 21 this year, the city of Frunze in the Lugansk People’s Republic was shelled with the Grad multiple launch rocket systems from the territory where the equipment and personnel of the military unit A1476 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were located. The shelling destroyed residential buildings and facilities of the locals. Also, a woman who did not take part in the armed conflict received a mine-explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to her left leg. The victim was promptly taken to a medical facility, where she was provided with professional medical assistance. At present, nothing threatens her life and health.

The military investigators have examined the scene, identified witnesses and questioned them about the circumstances of the incident. Currently, measures are being taken to identify the persons involved in this crime.
