Two more criminal cases are launched against the Ukrainian servicemen

The Main Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched 2 criminal cases into an offence of a crime prescribed in Part 1, Art. 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (ill-treatment of the civilian persons, the use of banned means and methods of warfare), against the Armed Forces of Ukraine military personnel, who have already been the Accused in other crimes. These are the commanders and the other members of the Ukrainian armed formations. Among them are Sergey Sirchenko, Dmitry Gerasimenko, Vyacheslav Bugaychuk, Alexander Bondarenko, Artem Puchkov, Gennady Boyko, Miroslav Verkhovoy, Andrey Kachanov, Roman Zabrodsky, Andrey Tkachuk, Vitaly Sushchenko, Sergey Smolik, Igor Sitnitsky, Sergey Postupalsky, Roman Mamavko, Nikolay Yanchy.

According to the investigation, between May 13 to May 14, mentioned above servicemen issued and executed the orders for massive targeted artillery and mortar attacks from heavy weapons on civilian infrastructure in the Donetsk, Dokuchaevsk, Gorlovka and Yasinovataya cities of the Donetsk People's Republic, and Varvarovka, Voevodovka, Kremennaya settlements of the Lugansk People's Republic.

As a result of artillery shelling of the Petrovsky and Kievsky rayons of Donetsk, 1 civilian was killed and 2 were wounded. In addition, 4 houses were damaged. In the Yasinovataya city, 1 man died, 2 people were injured. In Dokuchaevsk, 1 woman was injured, 7 apartments in three residential buildings were damaged. In Gorlovka, as a result of shelling, 4 houses were also damaged. As a result of artillery shelling of the Voevodovka and Varvarovka settlements of the Lugansk People's Republic, 2 civilians were injured. In addition, in the Kremennaya city, a residential building was damaged as a result of shelling.

The Investigative Committee of Russia continues to identify the Ukrainian armed units and formations and the specific persons involved in these crimes.
