The Investigative Committee to Request Information from the Ministry of Defense of Russia About New Provocations of the Ukrainian Military

The Investigative Committee of Russia will request information from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation about the preparation of new provocations by the Ukrainian Security Service officers at grain storage facilities in the settlements of the Lugansk People’s Republic, as well as Zaporozhye Oblast and Dnepropetrovsk Oblast of Ukraine.

According to reports received from captured Ukrainian servicemen, the Ukrainian Security Service officers prepared new provocations at grain storage facilities in the cities of Rubezhnoe, the LPR, and Orekhov, Zaporozhye Oblast, in order to accuse Russian servicemen of allegedly indiscriminate strikes against civilian infrastructure. Militants of armed nationalist formations mined the Prosyansky Elevator in the town of Prosyanaya, Dnepropetrovsk Oblast, and plan to blow it up in the near future. The Armed Forces of Ukraine placed their MLRS on the territory of a grain plant in the town of Vrubovka, the LPR. At the same time, the nationalists systematically shell the positions of the Russian Armed Forces, provoking them to return fire. Such actions by the Ukrainian military demonstrate the use of the “scorched earth” tactics used by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War and are contrary to the principles of international humanitarian law.

Investigators of the IC of Russia will record these reports as part of the investigation of criminal cases over the crimes committed by the Kiev regime. A criminal and legal assessment will be given to the actions of all involved persons.
