The criminal cases are launched on use of banned means and methods of warfare

The Investige Committee of the Russian Federation launched two criminal cases under the offense prescribed in Part 1 Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ill-treatment of civilian persons, use of banned means and methods of warfare) against the 24th separate mechanized brigade servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Evgeny Kurash, Sergey Postupalsky, Roman Mamavko, Nikolai Yanchey, 25th separate paratrooper brigade servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Andrey Kachanov, Roman Zabrodsky, Andrey Tkachuk, Dmitry Chernichenko, Emil Ishkulov, Vladimir Kapitula, 30th separate mechanized brigade servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Oleksandr Zinevich, Mykola Perestupnyak, 56th separate motorized infantry brigade servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Dmitry Dovbich, Sergey Sirchenko, Dmitry Gerasimenko, Vyacheslav Bugaychuk, Alexander Bondarenko, Miroslav Verkhovy, Artem Puchkov, Gennady Boyko.

According to the investigation, between June 11 and June 12, 2022, during the 24hrs, the mentioned above servicemen gave and executed the criminal orders for targeted artillery attacks from heavy weapons on civilian infrastructure in the Donetsk, Gorlovka, Makeevka cities and the f Krasny Partizan, Verkhnetoretskoye, Vasylivka settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic, and the Pervomaisk, Popasnaya, Severodonetsk cities and the Orekhovo settlements of the Lugansk People's Republic.

As a result of the shelling of Donetsk, Gorlovka and Makeevka, including the Krasny Partizan, Verkhnetoretskoye and the Vasilyevka settlements, 6 civilians were injured, 67 houses and civilian infrastructure were damaged, including the hospital building. As a result of artillery shelling of the Pervomaisk, Popasnaya and Severodonetsk cities, and the Orekhovo settlement located in the Lugansk People's Republic, 8 civilians were injured, 8 residential buildings were damaged.

The Russian Investigative Committee continues to identify the Ukrainian armed formations and units, including the individuals involved in the shelling of civilians.
