The Chairman of the Investigative Committee congratulates on the Day of Russia

Today, our country celebrates one of the main holidays - the Day of Russia. For many years now, this date has been a symbol of the continuity of generations and the inextricable connection with the Fatherland, the community and unity of all peoples living on the territory of our great country.

Every person must honor the historical memory and centuries-old culture of their homeland, must be proud of its achievements and not hang their compatriots in dry during the difficult times. This is the essence of patriotism and civic consciousness, so the Day of Russia reminds us of this once again.

During its centuries-old history, Russia has repeatedly experienced difficult times. But these pages of the chronicle are filled with great names of heroes, such as the Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky, the reformer Tsar Peter I, Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov and many others.  Today, when our soldiers and defenders are at the front line, liberating the Donbass from Nazism and the criminal Kiev regime, we must all stay consolidated and we must support our army and our fraternal people. All the perpetrators must get the deserved punishment - this is the target of the the Investigative Committee Officers, who have united in the fight against the criminal ideology spread. The cynicism and cruelty shown by the Ukrainian nationalists deserve the most severe punishment. The Investigative Committee of Russia will do everything possible, so not a single crime of the Ukrainian security forces goes unpunished. We have all necessary resources - the skills of our Officers, their dedication to duty, a high sense of responsibility, and what is mostly important – we have an incredible desire to become a guarantor of the protection of the legal rights and freedoms for the Donbas’s residents and for all Russian people.

Fulfilling our duty, each of us serves the interests of the society and the State. Sometimes our Officers risk their lives, defending the country. This is filigree work. We must hand over a strong and independent country to the future generations. So it is no coincidence, that the Investigative Committee of Russia pays special attention to the moral education of young people. Departmental educational institutions are aimed at instilling a sense of pride in the Fatherland in children, at forming their interest in national history, at the desire to preserve due to increase the wealth of the country.

Dear all, I congratulate you on the holiday! We still have many tasks ahead of us, the solution of which directly depends on your persistency, professionalism, resilience and diligence. I would like to conclude my congratulations with the words of the Great Russian writer Ivan Sergeyevich Turgenev: “Russia can do without each of us. But none of us can do without Russia.” I wish you all the success in your service, I wish you strength, health, and the well-being in your families and I wish you to have the fair fire in your hearts! Happy holiday! Happy Russia Day!
