The preliminary investigation to be finalized in one more criminal case against the Ukrainian serviceman

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has finalized a preliminary criminal case investigation against Major Roman Pryimak, the Head of the Support Forces Service of the Military Unit A-0536 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He is charged with a crime prescribed in Part 1 Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (ill-treatment of civilian persons, use of banned means and methods of warfare).

According to the investigation Between Feb.24 and 10 March 2022, Mr.Pryimak, realizing that it was not possible to hold the deployed positions, occupied by the subordinated to him military staff in the Volnovakha city of the Donetsk People's Republic  gave an order to mine the building of the Main Regional Hospital of the Volnovakha city, breaking the requirements stipulated in Convention related to the civilian persons protection  (Geneva, 12.08.1949) and Protocol Additional to it, where it is banned to take measures, which are fraught to distraction of civilian persons, wounded persons, ill persons, medical staff and medical units including, movable and immovable property,    which is not absolutely needed as a part for the military operation.

Despite the presence of medical staff and civilians in the hospital, the Ukrainian servicemen set up 3 tripwires at the central entrance of the medical facility, and 24 anti-tank mines on the territory adjacent to the hospital, using F-1 hand fragmentation grenades. The investigation also established the fact of several mine-stretch marks installation in the apartments located in a residential building.

During the special military operation, all of the above mentioned objects were demined. In addition, 24 people were taken out of the medical institution basement, where the doctors and nursing staff equaled 21 persons, and the other 3 were the patients. According to the victims, the Ukrainian servicemen lowered them into the basement and, on pain of death, forbade leaving it.

The investigation has identified the witnesses, who confirmed that Pryimak personally gave an illegal order, and also provided the details about its execution.

Priymak has been put on the wanted list. All efforts are being taken due to locate him. In addition, the work continues relative to all criminals’ identification, involved in the murders and other crimes of the Kiev regime against the civilian population.
