A Criminal Case Has Been Initiated Over the Shelling of a Gas Production Rig in the Black Sea by the Ukrainian Military

The Investigative Committee of Russia has initiated a criminal case over the shelling of a gas production rig located in the Black Sea by representatives of the armed formations of Ukraine.

According to the investigators, on June 20, 2022, the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine using weapons with high damaging properties fired at the gas production rig belonging to the Chernomorneftegaz state unitary enterprise of the Republic of Crimea operating at the Odessa gas field in the Black Sea.

The shelling caused a fire on the gas production rig, injured two employees; seven employees are missing.

The necessary examinations have been scheduled as part of the criminal case; all the circumstances of this crime are being established; persons from among the Ukrainian military involved in its commission are being identified.
