Members of an Extremist Community Operating in the Republic of Tyva Have Been Charged

Investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia have charged the head and 14 members of an extremist community, which operated in the Republic of Tyva. Depending on the role of each, they are charged with crimes under Parts 1, 1.1 and 2, Article 282.2, Part 1, Articles 282.3, 210.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of the activities of an extremist organization, involvement in its activities; financing of extremist activities; occupying the highest position in the criminal hierarchy). Of the accused, 14 defendants have been arrested, and one is undergoing a forensic medical examination due to his state of health.

Members of the A.U.E. movement (recognized as an extremist organization) banned by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation promoted criminal traditions, asocial behavior, the prestige of committing crimes, hatred and violence against law enforcement officers, engaged new members into the community, collected money to top up criminal funds, the so-called “common fund”, supplied convicts with prohibited items and substances.

Searches have been carried out at the places of residence and location of the defendants, and objects important for the investigation have been confiscated.

The investigators establish all the circumstances of the committed crime, including the causes and conditions that contributed to the creation and activities of this community.
