The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation instructed Mr. Chernyatiev D.N. - to the Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Republic of Bashkortostan, to submit a report on the initial investigative actions of the criminal case about the vehiculary manslaughter that killed four girls, including a juvenile (Part 6, Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

As the investigation established, on July 18, 2022, early in the morning, a 23-year-old man, driving an AUDI A5, hit four girls on the 5th km of the by-pass road in the Bakaly village, the girls were walking along the side of the road in the opposite direction. As a result, all four pedestrians died at the scene. Three of the victims were 18-19 years old; the fourth one was a 16-year-old girl.

Currently, all investigative actions are being carried out with the suspect, the issue of imposing pre-trial restrain to him as custody is being proceeded. The investigation is a subject to control in the Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
