The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Commettee of the Russian Federation finalized criminal investigation against Mr. Mikhail Demkin, Mr.Vitaliy Dzhura and Mr. Alexey Tryasnikov. Depending on individual involvement, the above mentioned are accused of crimes prescribed in Part 3 Article 30, paragraphs. «а, g, h» Part 2 Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt to murder), Part 1 Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, transmission, distribution, storage, trafficking, transmittal or weapons-bearing, the main parts of fire arms and munition), Part. 5 Article 33, Part 3 Article 30, paragraphs. «а, g, h» Part 2 Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (accessory to murder attempt).
It has been identified, that the former owner of the Cherkizovsky market, Mr.Telman Ismailov, based on his personal enmity, organized an attempt on murder of the artist Mr. Abraham Rousseau. To commit the crime he found the accessories Mr. Dzhura, Mr.Tryasnikov, and Mr.Demkin. The latter purchased a machine gun and cartridges for it.
Mr. Jura and Mr. Tryasnikov, in their turn, acquired the means of communication to commit the crime, and they followed Mr. Rousseau to study his travel patterns.
On August 19, 2006, in Plyushchikha Street in Moscow, Mr. Demkin fired at the car with Mr. Russeau and his security guard in it. Mr. Rousseau suffered four wounds to the hip area.
After the assassination attempt, Mr. Dzhura and Mr. Tryasnikov hid Mr. Demkin, providing him with clothes and money.
The criminal case with the approved indictment will be transferred to court for jurors trial on the merits.
Mr. Demkin, after have serving a long term in prison, died in 2014.
The criminal investigation against Mr. Ismailov the Organizer of the crime, and other accomplices continues. Mr.Ismailov has been placed on the international wanted list.
