On August 6, 2022, in Vladimir, Traffic Police Officers were working at the scene of an administrative offense in order to suppress illegal actions. An Acquaintance of the Detainee, being dissatisfied with the lawful actions of the police, used violence against them, accompanying his actions with obscenities.

In the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Vladimirskaya oblast, a criminal case was launched on the the use of violence against police officers in accordance with Part 1, Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence against a Representative Of Authority). The investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia are carrying out the required investigative actions aimed at clarifying the true picture of what had happened.

Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, instructed Mr. A. A. Kulakov, Head of the Investigation Department, to report on the progress of the investigation and on the interim results of the investigation of the criminal case, and this case is also a subject to control of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
