New episodes of crimes committed by members of Ukrainian armed formations are identified


The Investigative Committee of Russia launched criminal cases on the crimes prescribed in Part 1, Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (ill-treatment of the civilian persons, the use of banned means and methods of warfare), against the servicemen of the 30th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mr. Alexander Zinevich, Mr. Nikolai Perestupnyak, and the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mr. Alexei Maistrenko , Mr. A. Golenko and 56 separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Mr. Sergei Sirchenko, Mr. Dmitry Gerasimenko, Mr. Vyacheslav Bugaychuk, Mr. Alexander Bondarenko, Mr. Miroslav Verkhovy, Mr. Artem Puchkov, Mr. Gennady Boyko and other servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, between August 2 and 5, 2022, the mentioned above servicemen gave and executed criminal orders for targeted artillery attacks from heavy weapons on civilian infrastructure in the cities of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Makeevka, Yasinovataya, as well as the settlements of Yelenovka, Kremenets, Nikolskoye, Oktyabr, Aleksandrovka of the Donetsk People's Republic.

As a result of shelling, 5 civilians were killed, including a child, 25 civilians were injured, 82 houses and civilian infrastructure were damaged, including buildings of two schools and four hospitals.

The Investigative Committee of Russia continues to identify the Ukrainian armed formations and units as well as specific individuals, involved in the shelling of civilians, for their further prosecution.
