The investigation of children and woman's death in a fire in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is subject to control of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia

On August 4, 2022, the investigating authorities of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarskiy krai and the Republic of Khakassia received an inforamation, that the bodies of a 35-year-old woman and three of her children: girls 3 and 10 years old and a boy 8 years old with signs of exposure to high temperatures were found, during the extinguishing of a fire in a house located along Solnechnye Vetra Street in the Zharovsk settlement, Kuraginsky raion. Based on this fact, a criminal case was launched in accordance with Part 3, Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (infliction of death by negligence to two or more persons).

According to preliminary data, a family of five lived in the house. Presumably, the cause of the fire was a violation of the rules for the operation of stove heating in an outbuilding located near the house, where the source of ignition was identified. The owner of the house was taken to the hospital with burns to the body, and he received the necessary medical care.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Mr. Eremin A.L., Head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Krasnoyarskiy krai and the Republic of Khakassia, to submit a report on ongoing investigative actions. The investigation is subject of control in the Main Investigative Directorate.
