According to investigators, in March 2007, the defendant proposed a stable worker to kill a car dealer, to whom his family owed a large amount of money. Having received consent, the man developed a plan to commit a crime and found a gun. After that, realizing the plan, they made an appointment with the reseller. When he arrived, they followed the man through the city and the stable worker shot him dead. The perpetrators fled the scene of the crime afterwards. The body of the victim was discovered by local resident, who called law enforcement officers. However, despite the multi- measures taken, it was not possible to identify and detain the suspects without delay. In November 2016, the results of painstaking and continuous work were received. As part of the operational-search activities, a local resident was detained, who confessed to the murder committed in 2007, since the evidence was irrefutable, he also reported his accomplice. The organizer of the murder was hiding from the preliminary investigation, he was put on the federal wanted list. In April of this year, a man was detained in the city of Biysk, where he lived under a different surname, which he changed back in 2011.

The investigation collected a sufficient evidence base, so that the criminal case with the approved indictment was submitted to the court for consideration on the merits.
