On August 15, 2022, two children: 11-year-old boys and a 5-year-old girl, were hospitalized with wounds to the soft tissues of face, the injures were a result of attack by a stray dog ​​at a children's playground in the Zhiloy Rudnik settlement, Kukmorskiy raion. On this fact, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan launched a criminal case against officials of the Kukmorsky municipal district, as well as other persons responsible for catching stray animals, in accordance with Part 1, Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence).

Currently, the dog that attacked the children was caught by specialized services. Investigations identify all the circumstances of the incident. Within the investigation of the criminal case, specific officials responsible for the capture and isolation of stray animals on the territory of the municipality will be identified, and their actions (inaction) will be legally assessed.
