On August 15, 2022, two 11-year-old boys and a 5-year-old girl were injured as a result of an attack by a stray dog on a children's playground in the Zhiloy Rudnik settlement, Kukmor raion. On this fact, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan are investigating a criminal case against officials responsible for catching stray animals (Part 1, Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - negligence).

Mr. A.I. Bastrykin, Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, instructed Mr. P.M. Oleinik, acting Head of the investigation Directorate for the Republic of Tatarstan, to submit a detailed report on the circumstances of the crime and the initial investigative actions, as well as identify specific officials involved in the commission of it.

The investigation is a subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee.
