On August 17, 2022, 24 children were hospitalized in a medical institution in the Vladivostok city; they rested in a children's camp located in the Lazurnaya Bay of Vladivostok, the children had signs of food poisoning. On this fact, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Primorsky krai launched a criminal case under offense of crime prescribed in Part 1, Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet security requirements).
At present, the site of the incident was inspected jointly with specialists from Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare), documentation related to the supply of food and sanitary safety of people staying in the children's camp was confiscated, and the necessary swabs and food samples were taken in the messing unit.
The Head of the Investigative Committee instructed Mr. Fomin V.V., Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for Primorsky krai, to submit a report on the situation. The investigation of the criminal case is a subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate.
