Investigation into a murder of an 18-year-old local resident in the Republic of Tuva is a subject to control of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia


On September 05, 2022, the law enforcement agencies of the Kyzyl city received a message about the discovery of the body of an 18-year-old local resident with death through violence signs; the body was found in the forest area of ​​the city of Kyzyl. On the mentioned fact, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tuva launched a criminal investigation on the offense of a crime prescribed in Part 1, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder). Through the highly professional investigative actions, three juvenile residents of the Kyzyl city, of 16 and 17 years old, were identified as participants of the crime.

According to the investigation, on September 4, 2022, around 2 pm, an argument arose between previously familiar young people during the joint drinking of alcohol, in the process of which the juveniles inflicted numerous blows with a knife on the body of the victim, who died on the spot.

Currently, all the suspects are detained, the necessary investigative and procedural actions are being carried out with their participation.

On the motion of the investigator, the court imposed a pre-trial restraint as custody for two of them, and the restraint for the third one is under consideration.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Mr. Stolbin K.V., Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tuva to submit a report on the progress of the investigation.

The investigation of the criminal case is a subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
