Investigation of the criminal case against Mr. Evgeniy Gladskikh, Judge, is finalized

The Main Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the North Caucasian Federal Okrug finalized the investigation of the criminal case against Mr. Yevgeny Gladskikh, judge of the Shpakovsk District Court of the Stavropol krai, accused of committing a crime prescribed in Part 3, Article 30, Part 4 Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted large scale fraud).

The criminal case was launched by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia with the consent of the High Qualification Board of Judges of the Russian Federation.

It became possible to detect the circumstances of the crimes committed and bring the accused to criminal responsibility in cooperation with the Federal Security Service of Russia for Stavropol krai.

The investigation identified, that between September 28 and November 9, 2020, Mr. Gladskikh attempted to steal 4 million rubles from the defendant under the guise of facilitating the imposition of a lighter sentence based on the results of consideration of the last criminal case by the judges of the Nevinnomyssk City Court of Stavropol Krai by deceit and abuse of trust. Mr. Gladskikh could not finalized the crime, as his actions were stopped by the FSB of Russia in Stavropol Krai.

The investigation collected a sufficient evidence base, in connection with which the criminal case against Mr. Gladskys was submitted to court for consideration on the merits with the approved indictment.
