Evidence collected by the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Kemerovo oblast - Kuzbass was recognized by the court as sufficient for sentencing a previously convicted 41-year-old resident of the Myski city. He was found guilty of committing crimes under paragraphs "a", "c", "j" , Part 2, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two juveniles committed in order to hide another crime, as well as involving rape or sexual violence), 2 episodes, Part 5, Article 131 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (rape of a victim under the age of fourteen, committed by a person who has a criminal record for a previously committed crime against the sexual integrity of a juvenile), 2 episodes, Part 5, Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (sexual violence committed against a person under the age of fourteen, committed by a person who has a previous conviction for a previously committed crime against the sexual integrity of a minor), Part 1, Article 314.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (unauthorized leaving by a supervised person of a place of residence, committed in order to evade administrative supervision).

The investigation and the court established that in September 2021 in the Kiselevsk town, in the daytime, a 10-year-old girl approached the convict at a public bus stop and asked him for sunflower seeds to feed the pigeons. The man, who was in a state of intoxication, offered to buy sweets for her and her friend, and some food for the bird. Having bought himself more alcohol, and the promised candies for children, he convinced them to go to visit his place. In an abandoned house where he temporarily lived, the accused, having consumed alcohol, committed violent sexual crimes against the victims. To cover up the crime, the man strangled the girls, threw mattresses over their bodies and left the home. The parents of one of the schoolgirls, worried that their daughter did not return home on time, turned to law enforcement agencies for help. Thanks to the competent work of investigators and police officers, the suspect was identified and detained promptly. The perpetrator confessed and showed the location of the children's bodies. He cooperated with the investigation and admitted his guilt. The court imposed pre-trial restraint as custody to him. A criminal case was launched against the police officials, who carry out the administrative supervision of citizens released from places of deprivation of liberty, as their actions may be considered as negligence. Currently the case is being considered in court.

During the preliminary investigation, prescribtions were sent to the prevention authorities about the elimination of the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of exceptionally aggravated criminal offence against children. Thanks to well-planned tactics and methods of investigating a criminal case, the investigators of the Department for supervision over investigation of especially important cases of the Investigation Department managed to thoroughly establish the picture of a particularly serious crime committed against children.

Following the instruction of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, the investigation of the criminal case is a subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.

By a verdict, the man was sentenced to life imprisonment in a special regime penal colony, he will also be required to pay 2 million rubles in compensation in respect of one of the victims and 500 thousand in respect of another victim.
