The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia sends forensic experts from the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department to Zabaikalye krai to provide advice and assistance in investigating the murder of a law enforcement officer

On the instruction of the Head of the Investigative Committee, forensic experts and investigators from the Main Forensic Directorate (Forensic Center) of the Investigative Committee of Russia will be sent to Zabaikalye krai to provide comprehensive advice and assistance in detecting the circumstances of the murder of a law enforcement officer.

Earlier it was reported that on September 18, 2022, a police officer was murdered in Akshanskiy raion. Based on that, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Directorate of the IC of the Russian Federation for Zabaikalye krai launched a criminal case on the offense of a crime prescribed in Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (infringement on life of a law enforcement officer). A set of investigative and urgent procedures is conducted aimed at detecting all the circumstances of the murder of a police officer.

Mr. Bastrykin A.I., Chairman of the Investigative Committee, instructed Mr. Volny A.Yu., acting Head of the Investigative Directorate of the IC of Russia for Zavaikaye krai to take measures to promptly identify and detain the persons involved in the murder of a police officer, and report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case. The investigation and its results are the subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
