The Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to organize an inspection on the request of a the State Duma Deputy of the Russian Federation

In social networks and the media, an appeal of the State Duma Deputy of the Russian Federation to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia was published. The appeal related to actions of one of its colleagues, a newly elected Deputy of the Omsk City Council.

Reportedly, after winning the municipal elections, Ms. Anna Stepanenko, together with a party colleague, during a domestic conflict with her neighbor, tried to break into her apartment, and after the victim’s statement to the police, she demanded her neighbour to sell the house and move out.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation instructed Mr.Vinnikov O.V., Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for Omsk oblast, to organize an inspection based on the issues set out in the appeal, to detect all the circumstances of the incident and submit a report on the situation. The inspection is a subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
