The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to launch criminal investigations in connection with the shelling of the Kursk and Belgorod oblasts


The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation instructed to investigate the facts of shelling the objects in several raions of Kursk and Belgorod oblasts.

According to reports, on September 22, 2022, an unidentified explosive device was allegedly dropped from the air on the Sudzha electrical substation, located near the Ukraine border. As a result, the transformer was disabled. The fire was promptly extinguished and there were no power outages. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired mortars at the border the Elizavetovka settlement, Glushkovsky raion. There is damage to the local farm and school, the citizens were not injured.

In Belgorod oblast, the Ukrainian side shelled the Dvuluchnoe settlement, the Valuysky town, as a result of a hit, there was destruction of households. There were no victims or injured.

The Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to carry out a package of investigative measures, document all traces of criminal activity and take actions aimed at identifying the persons involved in the commission of the mentioned crimes.
