On September 22, 2022, it was reported that a monument to the Liberator Soldier was damaged by an unidentified person in the territory of the Tolmachevo settlement, Novosibirsk oblast; it was also said that the monument was dismantled for the future sports facility construction. On this fact, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Novosibirsk oblast are conducting a pre-investigation review.

The Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed Mr. Zaripov V.B., Acting Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Novosibirsk oblast to submit a report on the situation. The review is a subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
