Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia meets veterans of the investigation and students of the Departmental Academy in St. Petersburg
During a working trip to St. Petersburg, Mr. A.I. Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, held a meeting with veterans of the investigating authorities and students of the St. Petersburg Academy of the Department, organized by the Cultural Center of the Russian Investigative Committee.
Today, the young generation of Officers of the Investigative Committee is entrusted with a unique mission, which is of particular importance in modern life conditions. Young people inherit the experience accumulated by many generations of investigators and form the image of the future system of the Department. Therefore, the Investigative Committee of Russia pays great attention to the issue of professional succession, which is one of the most important components of successful work.
In the event hall of the St. Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee, a meeting was held with the participation of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Mr. A.I. Bastrykin and veterans of the investigation, and students of a Departmental Institution. The event was also attended by the Acting Rector of the Academy, Mr. V.V. Loboda, Principal of the St. Petersburg Cadet Corps of the Investigative Committee Ms. E.Yu. Garanina and the Head of the Cultural Center of the Russian Investigative Committee, Ms. M.D. Krasnopeeva.
In his welcoming speech, the Head of the department noted that the veterans of the investigation are active participants in the educational process. The knowledge and experience accumulated over many years have acquired a high value, and today's veterans generously share them with the younger generation, thereby continuing to remain faithful to the best traditions of officers and the given oath. Mr. A.I. Bastrykin emphasized: "Now it is a difficult time, and we must learn and consider the experience of our senior comrades. During the years of the Leningrad blockade, all law enforcement officers - investigators, prosecutors, criminal investigation department - were in one ranks with those who defended the rule of law in the most difficult time for the country. In the Soviet time, prosecutors and investigators were also always on their duty. And today, our investigators of the Main Investigation Directorate and the Military Investigation Directorate are working in the Donbas, in Ukraine and the Kherson oblast, in Zaporozhye, where referendums on joining Russia are being held today. Our comrades, together with the Armed Forces, the Russian Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, special forces, volunteers, are fulfilling their duty to the Fatherland. I thank our veterans for the meeting today, thank you for being with us. My request to you is to continue to share your experience, traditions and knowledge with our students. And for our students, I wish only one thing - all these years must be fully used to realize the duty to the Fatherland, which you will also have to fulfill. Today, your generation is also going through a time and events that we must adequately meet. We must be convinced that the new generation of investigators of the Investigative Committee will perform their duty, and victory will again be ours!"
Veterans, in turn, highlighted the main stages of their professional path, shared their memories of investigative work, gave parting words to students in their studies, instructions on how to serve for the good of the Motherland and responsibly fulfill their duties, act on the principle of law and justice. The students listened with interest to the veterans' stories and asked their questions.
Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin awarded the veterans with departmental commemorative medals "350 years since the birth of Peter I" for their invaluable contribution to working with the younger generation of investigators, educating them in the best qualities of future officers.
It can be said with confidence that the exchange of experience between generations contributes to an increase in interest in the profession of an investigator among young people who should become its worthy representatives and be proud of their work.
