One of the federal television chanels broadcasted on the communal problems of the residents of a house in the Zlatoust city, Chelyabinsk oblast. In an apartment building, the roof is leaking, plaster is falling off the walls and ceilings, while the house is not recognized as emergency. At the same time, organisations, responsible for utilites and which were entrusted to conduct the repair works, believe that the house must be resettled as soon as possible. Local authorities, despite the existing violations of the rights of residents, are inactive. On this fact, the regional investigative directorate organized a pre-investigation inspection.

Mr. A.I. Bastrykin, Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Mr. P.G. Reshetnikov, Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Chelyabinsk oblast to report on the results of a procedural inspection on the circumstances of the violation of the rights of citizens living in houses with inadequate living conditions.

The inspection is a subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
