The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to conduct an inspection on information about the development of a nature preservation area in St. Petersburg

On social networks, activists are asking to pay attention to the construction of a residential building in a nature preservation area in the Sestroretsk city, where, despite the fact that it is forbidden to change the relief, a pit of at least 3 meters was reportedly excavated and pine trees were cut down. Activists also believe that it is necessary to confirm the legality of the transfer of this land to private ownership.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation instructed Ms. Parastaeva M.G., Acting Head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg to conduct an inspection on the stated above arguments and submit a report.

The inspection and its results are the subject to control in the Main Directorate of the Department.
