The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to launch a criminal investigation on information about the development of a natural area in St. Petersburg

Earlier it was reported that in social networks, activists were asking to pay attention to the legality of the construction of a residential building in a natural area in the Sestroretsk city. Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, Chairman of the IC of Russia, instructed Ms. Parastaeva M.G., acting head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg, to conduct a pre-investigation inspection on this fact.

It has now been detected that the construction of the building in the natural area was carried out by the developer in agreement with the Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments of St. Petersburg.

The Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed Ms. Parastaeva M.G., acting head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg, to launch a criminal investigation on the mentioned above fact and to report on the progress of the investigation.

The line and the results of the criminal investigation are the subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the IC Department.
