The Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructs to report on the situation with transport services in St. Petersburg

Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed Ms. Parastaeva M.G., acting head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg, to report on the current situation, related to an appeal placed in one of the media to the Head of the Investigative Committee from the resident of St. Petersburg about the transport problems of the city.

Citizens believe that the new model of transport service model (NMTS) in St. Petersburg has led to a significant increase of accidents involving "azure" buses. According to media reports, only in the first month of their running, there were about 85 accidents.

Residents of St. Petersburg think that, for the most part, the problem lies in the fact that the drivers of many buses are former "route" drivers, who lost their jobs after the abolition of such type of transport. Many of them, as journalists wrote, did not even receive special training.

The transport committee of Smolny was also criticized by various experts. They recalled that the townspeople were promised new and safe transport, but in reality people received buses that ignite, get into accidents and do not arrive on schedule.
