It was reported on social networks that in 2017 the administration of one of the cities of Irkutsk oblast, despite supposedly legal grounds, having recognized the house as emergency and subject to demolition, did not consider the issue of providing its residents with new housing. At the same time, officials are currently trying to negotiate with the tenants and relocate them to congregative living facilities.

On this fact, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Irkutsk oblast organized a pre-investigation inspection.

The Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed Mr. Sitnikov A.V., Head of the Investigative Directorate to submit a report on the situation and measures taken to protect the rights of citizens. The inspection and its results are the subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
