On October 9, 2022, the body of a girl born in 1998 with signs of violent death was found next to the roadside of the automoble road "g.Novaya Ladoga - g.Vologda" in Boksitogorsk raion of Leningrad oblast. The Investigating Authorities of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Leningrad Oblast launched a criminal case (Part 1, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - murder). A previously convicted man born in 1972 was detained on suspicion of committing a crime. He will be filed a charge soon. The investigation petitions the court for imposing a restraint as custody for him.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Mr. Sazin S.T., Head of the Investigative Directorate for Leningrad Oblast, to submit a report on the progress of the criminal investigation.

The results of the investigation are the subject to control in the Main Directorate of the Department.
