On the evening of October 8, current year, a 14-year-old teenager, driving a snow and swamp-going vehicle without state registration plates, cruised around the territory of the Novoaltaisk city. On one of the streets, he lost control and allowed the exit to the side of the road with a further vehicle collapse. As a result of an accident, a 14-year-old girlfriend of the driver died on the spot before the ambulance had arrived, the juvenile driver escaped from the scene of the accident.

The Investigating Authorities of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Altai Krai launched a criminal case for the mentioned above facts on the offense of a crime prescribed in paragraph "c", Part 4, Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Mr. Kolesnichenko I.V., Head of the Investigative Directorate for Altai Krai to submit a report on the progress of the criminal investigation.

The results of the investigation are the subject to control of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
