The Investigating Authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Saratov Oblast continue criminal investigation of the 10-year-old child's murder, committed with particular cruelty (paragraphs "c, e", Part 2, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

On the evening of October 13, 2022, the mother of the murdered child, returned from work and found the body of a 10-year-old daughter with multiple stab wounds and traces of thermal exposure in the apartment at the place of their residence. The ambulance team pronounced the girl dead. Parents reported the tragedy to Law Enforcement Agencies.

Investigators and forensic experts from the Investigative Forensic Directorate conducted inspection of the scene and appointed forensic examinations. A 14-year-old sister of the victim was detained on suspicion of committing this crime. She is currently under investigation. The choice of restraint measure for her is being decided.

Within the criminal investigation, an appropriate legal assessment will also be given to the actions of officials responsible for the prevention and protection of the rights of juveniles.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Mr. Govorunov A.Yu., Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia, to report on the initial set of investigative actions on the criminal case of the murder of a child and make the investigation and its results the subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
