Investigation continues to detect the circumstances of the plane crash in Yeysk

The Main Military Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia continues a criminal investigation launched in accordance with Article 351 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of flight rules or violation of flight preparation rules) on the crash of a Su-34 aircraft in the Yeisk city.

As a result of the plane crash on a residential building, the total number of deaths was 13 people, including 3 children, 19 people received various injuries and were hospitalized.

Currently, Military Investigators, Forensic Experts of the Main Forensic Directorate (MFD), Specialists of the Investigative Expert Center of the Russian Investigative Committee are working at the scene.

The investigation tool fuel samples at the departure Airport, and seized all necessary documentation. The pilots who managed to eject, as well as the airfield personnel, are being interrogated. Flight recorders have already been seized from the crash site, and expert examinations have been appointed on them.

Investigation considers a technical malfunction of the aircraft as the primary lead of the crash.
