Veterans of Investigation and Students of
Educational Institutions of
the Investigative Committee!
I congratulate you on the Day of the establishment of the Forensic Expert Service! This is a holiday of true professionals! The experience and knowledge of Forensic Investigators help to investigate the most complex and intricate crimes. Forensic divisions rightfully take a special place in the structure of the Russian Investigative Committee. With the establishment of the Main Forensic Directorate (Forensic Center) of the RF IC, our Forensic Science received a powerful impetus for development. And today, neither time nor the modern technologies used by criminals can become an obstacle to establishing the truth and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
In just 9 months of this year, almost 5,000 crimes of past, including the ones committed more than 20 years ago, have been investigated. Professional expert light sources, metal detectors and magnetometers, ground penetrating radars and quadrocopters, detectors of explosives and drug substances, snow and swamp vehicles and mobile forensic laboratories - our Forensic Specialists have the most modern equipment in their arsenal, which helps them to operate in almost any conditions, to carry out activities on the ground and underground, in the air and under water, to find evidence important for the investigation in the ashes of fires, damaged digital media, microscopic traces left by criminals.
The modern world is rapidly changing and sets new challenges for the investigation. And, accepting the challenge, you are always in the ranks. At any moment of the day or night, you are ready to go to the scene of an incident or crime: no matter if it is a fire or an explosion, a traffic accident or a terrorist attack. Today, in the context of a special military operation, you are worthily serving in new regions of the Russian Federation, scrupulously documenting and investigating the crimes of the Kiev regime against civilians and Russian military personnel. In the chaos of destroyed cities and towns, you manage to find important evidence and restore the picture of the crimes that took place, and you know that it would be impossible to bring the perpetrators to justice without obtaining them. Practical recommendations developed by the staff of the Main Forensic Directorate (Forensic Center) for investigating crimes related to the use of banned means and methods of warfare, considering a special military operation to protect the Republics of Donbas, will make this work more effective and large-scaled.
The establishment of Investigative Directorates on the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye oblasts continues fast. And no matter what complications are on the way, I am sure that we will adequately serve for the good of the Fatherland!
Dear Forensic Investigators and Forensic Veterans!
Your high professionalism, dedication and courage have won the well-deserved respect of our citizens! I express my sincere gratitude to you for your selfless work, and please do accept my congratulations on your professional holiday! I wish a lot of health to you and to your loved ones, I wish you prosperity and success in everything!
