The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee instructs to submit a report on the circumstances of the death of a woman and a child in a road accident in Moscow

The Investigating Authorities of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Moscow launched a criminal investigation into the death of a woman and a child on the offense of a crime prescribed in Part 6, Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (traffic violatio and violation in operating vehicles).

According to the investigation, on October 22, 2022 in Moscow, a driver of a foreign-manufactured car at full speed hit a 42-year-old woman and her five-year-old son, who were walking along a pedestrian crossing. Both died on the spot from their injuries.

Investigators are currently detecting all the circumstances of the accident.

Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, Head of the Russian Investigative Committee, instructed Mr. A.A. Strizhov, Head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for Moscow, to submit a report on the circumstances.
