The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to report on the possible violation of the rights of women with disabilities in Moscow Oblast and the Trans-Baikal Krai

On the air of the Federal Channel, it was reported about cases of removal of children by Guardianship Authorities from mothers who have the status of a disabled person or were recognized as incompetent. Thus, an example was given of the removal of a newborn child from a disabled woman in Trans-Baikal Krai. The woman was declared incompetent after a car-accident. Her mother represented her interests. However, she was denied trusteeship over newborn. In addition, the story of a disabled woman from Moscow Oblast was voiced. It was reported that her 10-year-old son was removed due to health problems of his mother andbecause they have small living area. According to the situation in Trans-Baikal Krai, the Investigating Authorities of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia organized an inspection; the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Oblast previously verified the voiced arguments about the illegal removal of the child. Currently, there is a trial to restrict a woman's parental rights.
