The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to submit a report on the criminal investigation on possible violation of sanitary and epidemiological standards in Novosibirsk

The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Novosibirsk Oblast is investigating a criminal case previously launched on the offense of a crime prescribed in Part 1, Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production, storage, transportation or sale of goods and products, performance of work or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements). A criminal case was launched on complaints from residents of Novosibirsk about the placement of a landfill site and other violations of sanitary and epidemiological standards. An investigation is currently detecting the circumstances of the crime.

A protest meeting was held in Novosibirsk today. In addition to demands on the Regional Authorities to establish a protective zone in one of the cemeteries and close the market, citizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the progress of the criminal investigation through the media representatives .

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation instructed Mr. Zaripov V.B., Acting Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Novosibirsk Oblast to submit a report on the progress and results of the criminal investigation on the unfavorable environmental situation in the regional center and on the arguments voiced by the residents of the city. The further investigation is a subject to control in the Main Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee.
