Criminal investigation into the theft of more than 113 million rubles from an Agricultural Enterprise by its former Director is finalized

The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation finalized the criminal investigation against the former director of JSC "Chuvash Broiler" Mr. Vadim Nikolaev, accused in accordance with Part 4, Article 160, Part 4, Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (misappropriation and embezzlement committed by a person using his official position, on an especially large scale).

According to investigators, between 2009-2013, Mr. Nikolaev, being CEO of OJSC "Chuvash Broiler", on the instruction of Mr. Alexander Chetverikov, who owned a major share of stock in the enterprise through third parties, repeatedly entered into agreements of knowingly bad loans with legal entities that did not conduct real financial and economic activities, as well as ensured the transfer of funds to them. In total, Mr. Nikolaev spent more than 101 million rubles.

Also, Mr. Nikolaev appropriated the property of the enterprise he headed - the store building and the land plot to it in the city of Cheboksary. The Defendant sold them in December 2012 at a significantly reduced price of 1.2 million rubles to his friend, who then resold them back to Mr. Nikolaev. The real value of the property was 10.3 million rubles.

After that, Mr. Nikolaev ensured the conclusion of lease agreements with the specified Acquaintance in relation to the stolen building of the store, as well as the receipt of payments from OJSC "Chuvash Broiler" for the use of this property in the amount of more than 1.8 million rubles.

The investigation collected sufficient evidence confirming the guilt of Mr. Nikolaev, in connection with which the criminal case was sent to court for being resolved.

With regard to Chetverikov, who is wanted, the criminal investigation has been separated into a separate proceeding; and criminal investigation against him continues.
