Mr. A.I. Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee, instructed Mr. A.Yu. Ukhanov to report on the progress of the procedural inspection conducted on the offense of a crime prescribed in Part 1, Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence). The inspection was arranged in connection with the development of the territory closely attached to the memorial.

According to available information, a residential compond is being built in Smolensk near the memorial, which was erected on the burial site of approximately 45,000 Soviet soldiers and commanders of the Red Army who died in concentration camp No. 126.

The execution of the instruction is a subject to control in the Main Directorate of the Department.
