The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to report on verification activities in Moscow and Tula Oblasts for information on guided tours, that do not meet safety requirements

On the air of the Federal Channel it was reported that about a thousand people annually risk their lives on illegal guided tours in the quarries of Moscow and Tula Oblasts. It is noted that the guides lead their tours to the Syanovsky quarries, located in Moscow Oblast, neglecting safety precautions. There are cases when people were injured on them. In addition, there are cases of life-threatening and health-threatening tours in the Guryev quarries in Tula Oblast, where some of the caves are flooded, and the guides take advantage of this, organize dangerous swims inside the quarry for an additional fee.

The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee instructed Mr. A.Yu. Starikov, Head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the ICR for Moscow Oblast and Mr. V.V. Usov, Head of the Investigative Directorate of the ICR for Tula Oblast, to report on the progress of procedural inspections on the information presented in the plot.
