Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, instructed the Main Directorate of the Department to control the progress and the results of criminal investigation on the murder of three local residents and the attempted murder on a fourth man in the city of Krymsk, Krasnodar Krai.

The Investigating Authorities of the ICR for Krasnodar Krai are investigating a criminal case launched in accordance with Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. According to investigators, a 66-year-old local resident fired several shots at two of his acquaintances, and then shot at another man, being motivated by personal hostility . All victims died on the scene. In addition, the Attacker injured a 61-year-old man who is currently hospitalized. After the incident, the Defendant committed suicide.

The Head of the Department instructed Mr. Maslov A.K., Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Krasnodar Krai, to submit a report on the initial investigative actions, the motives for the crime, as well as on the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of a particularly serious crime. The report was ordered to be submitted within the shortest time.
